Stress can affect your major organs

November 22, 2016

Stress can affect your major organs to the point that your blood work will be off, or you will need to stop your life so that you can take care of the damage that the stress has done to your body.  You can end up in the hospital, attending to an emergency, because you didn’t take the time to take care of the body and what it was dealing with.

Stress can affect your major organs!

I know!  It happened to me!  I had a very stressful situation occur that took a hard hit on me.  As a result, I had to get an emergency ultra sound!  When they had taken my blood work, the Kidney’s were off the charts high.  One week later my blood was retaken, and my kidneys had stabilized.

In the article 10 Organs In The Body Affected By Stress, Carly Fraser writes:

Stress is the body’s reaction to an increase in pressure or demands that the individual can physically not cope. Stress can mean different things to different people, but it often stems from problems related to relationships, family, your job or most common – money! Stress can also stem from a build-up of small life events or a major life event that came up unexpectedly.

Aside from feeling an overall sense of anxiety, many of the organs in the body are affected by stress. When we are stressed, our cortisol levels rise and this can compromise the functioning of the immune system. The hormones Adrenaline and Noradrenaline are also released, which raise the blood pressure and make you sweat more. Not only that, but a raise in these hormones reduce blood flow to the skin and reduce stomach activity (which can greatly impede digestion).

Stress KILLS the body!  How is stress affecting you?

Stress can affect your major organs!

We treat our bodies like a machine and forget that it needs to be taken care of so we can accomplish what our duties, obligations and responsibilities are.  How often do we just kick in the doors, pushing hard, making leaps and bounds, but neglect the very thing that is making it happen:  OUR BODY!

We are not robots, and yet we treat our body as if it is invincible.  We abuse it with alcohol, substance abuse, little or no sleep, we eat things that we are allergic to or make us not feel well, we drink caffeine to make our bowels go or to get a high so we can continue checking off our list.  We don’t stop, and keep pushing forward.

If you don’t take time for you, to get in touch with you, to sit with the things that are happening around you and get your emotions and feelings aligned so you are at a homeopathic state of peace and harmony, no matter what is going on around you, STRESS will take its toll.

We all have stress!  How we deal with it is THE KEY to living in Optimal Health!
